Home-Start Hampshire joined forces with Dunelm during the weekend of 10th, 11th and 12th August 2018.  This was part of a joint UK wide initiative between Dunelm and Home-Start UK which runs throughout the year.

Staff and volunteers from our offices across Hampshire visited branches of Dunelm to raise much needed funds for Home-Start.  In Fareham the Dunelm staff had clearly been busy coming up with family friendly ideas which included an animal trail, guess how many miles the staff walk in a shift and decorated a very colourful display board to attract customers.  We are delighted to say that customers to the Fareham store raised over £360 during the weekend.   The staff and volunteers of Meon Valley and Gosport and Fareham offices were also able to engage with the wonderful Dunelm customers and recruit some new home-visiting volunteers, which is always very positive.  Our Rushmoor & Hart office joined forces with the Farnborough Dunelm store the same weekend, raising over £320 during the weekend.  Dunelm staff came up with some great activities to bring in money including the sale of cakes, a tombola and leg waxing experiences.  In the New Forest Volunteers worked tirelessly to raise money in the Southampton branch of Dunelm Sunday with support from lots of families visiting the store who enjoyed homemade cakes whilst they shopped.  All the money raised will help us continue to support families facing challenges in Hampshire.

We are looking forward to the next fundraising Halloween themed weekend, which takes place at Dunelm stores on 26th to 28th October 2018.
