Volunteers week is an annual celebration of the amazing work carried out by millions of volunteers in local communities across the UK – in Hampshire, Home-Start charities have over 500 trained volunteers who visit families every week in their own homes – giving their time to support parents with young children who are struggling to cope with difficulties they face every day – disability, bereavement, debt, poverty, chronic illness, unemployment, depression, domestic abuse, poor housing – to name a few.
